Dmitry Motov (born in 1975, Penza) is a painter, a member of the Union of artists of Russia and the International Association of fine arts of UNESCO, Honored artist of Europe, a Member of the International Academy Of Natural Sciences (Germany, Hanover), a graduate of the Penza art school. K. A. Savitsky, Penza state pedagogical University. V. G. Belinsky. Organizer of personal art projects and participant of group exhibitions of various levels.
Dmitry Motov is the Creator of a unique picturesque style. His paintings are in the collections of Svetlana Medvedeva and Nursultan Nazarbayev, famous Russian collectors – Kirill Ignatiev and Victor Kartsev. More than 1, 000 works in various galleries of the world (Japan, USA, China, Montenegro, etc.).
The artist remains one of the few adherents of the plein air, all his works prefer to write from nature, continuing the tradition of Russian realistic painting. His landscapes often have the character of etudes-impressions, always expressing the mood of nature through the play of textures, chiaroscuro and color relations. In search of original natural subjects, the artist often goes on trips – to the Arkhangelsk, Ivanovo region, Karelia, the Republic of Komi, Crimea, as well as along the banks of the Volga. Quite often, the master refers to the theme of the Penza landscape – native rural species along the Sura river.
Dmitry himself says about the creative process: "I'm looking for a way of work to feel and convey the area that I write, its mood. Sometimes I just intentionally do a little bit more color, richer, thereby putting there my experienced feeling that the work was powerful, cool."
